Drying Sourdough Castoffs

Can anyone tell me the best way to dry my sourdough castoffs and then give instructions to my friends to rehydrate them?

I have friends in other parts of the country who have asked me to share but sending the actual wet stuff seems like it could be a problem as the weather gets warmer.
