About 40 years ago, I was a Cuisinart demonstrator when food processors were brand new in department stores. We demonstrated making bread dough, among other things, and our manager taught us how to make a baguette, which was the first bread I'd ever made! Time passed, life happened, and I was barely cooking, much less baking. Now I'm thrilled to be semi-retired, and the kitchen is my happy place again. I've pretty well mastered Challah, so really good baguettes are my current challenge. So far, they've been good but not great, but I'm determined--and so happy to find other fanatics!

Great to have you on board. Please share your Challah baking with us. Something I love to eat but rarely tried myself. Alfanso, a fellow TFLer, bakes wonderful baguettes. It's a wonderful community.

I hope you will share the mastered challah. It's been on my list to conquer but I haven't gotten to it yet.

I highly recommend the professional technique videos on King Arthur's website for useful tips on shaping and scoring baguette.
