and I have to say it was very, very good! There was no specific bean taste, although it was wheat-y. I don't mind that at all though. My husband is all about putting peanut butter on whatever bread I make. It honestly doesn't matter what kind it is....which I find rather funny. His favorites I would have to say are the ryes though.

I think the loaves looks terrific, hole in all. I've never tried a bean bread. Tell us what it tastes like.

I'm so glad you tried the bread and posted your results! I was very curious to hear how it worked with someone else because I love it. And it's great with penut butter too, in my opinion. That's a good idea you had about putting butter on top.
Pamela I think photojess is right that it tastes pretty wheaty, and I don't really get any bean taste from it. It's not especially sweet, but would work well with either savory or sweet spreads/sandwich fillings. It's definitely one of my favorite sanwich breads. And it stays good tasting for quite a long time too.
Looks like a nice moist loaf. I have to admit I have a hard time resisting PB on any type of toast in the AM. Dave
Pamela, like I said it does have a strong wheat flavor, but it doesn't taste like the beans or the water that is used. It does taste really good toasted with PB on it!
I think I like most of the breads toasted by the next day anyway.
