I am presently trying a starter that I found in the Joy of Cooking pg. 756. It didn't work well at all! I see al of these lovely starters and need a little help! Any suggestions?
SourdoLady, Thank you for the information. I'm on the edge of my seat to in anticipation. I never though baking could be so facinating and complex. I'll keep you posted on my progress. Can't wait!!

Lots of interesting reading that could keep you busy for months! If you have any questions there are many of us available that will help you. Keep in mind that there are many ways to work with sourdough and every baker has their favorite. It doesn't mean that one is better than the other--just personal preferences. Have fun!
